We wanted to find a design that fit the style of the book, taking inspiration from simple-yet-effective old waxed-cotton and leather bound books that featured ornate foiled stampings. We kept the outside simple and classy to complement the beautiful imagery inside—Euting's own watercolour sketches and diary, published in English for the first time.
