This is a new take on a book published fifteen years ago—probably the most comprehensive study of pearl fishing in the Arabian Gulf. We used two types of foil on the cover: pearlescent and aquatic blue, matching the end papers and head and tail bands. Maya Smadi's elegant design for both English and Arabic editions has given this modern classic a refreshing, contemporary look.
